GATEWAY - is being made available to senior school students.
- delivers hands-on practical learning that leads to nationally recognised qualifications.
- builds students' workplace experience, helping them move smoothly from school to work.
- is managed through delegated facilitators, customising the learning and selecting the students to
complement the employers' businesses.
- is coordinated and funded by the Tertiary Education Commission as part of the new tertiary education landscape.
BENEFITS FOR STUDENTS

It gives opportunities to try out potential careers and build links to ITOs, Modern Apprenticeships and workplaces. Not only can it lead to a qualification in the chosen career but students could gain employment or further training.
HOW IS THIS COURSE ASSESSED?
Students will be assessed mainly in their workplace by industry assessors. This requires the student to spend the equivalent of a school day in the workplace.
